I sensed God working in my heart back in the spring of 1980. A lifetime friend had become a Christian and was showing me of my spiritual need from Scripture. Soon after, a man I worked with had a similar conversation with me. From a booklet that was given to me, Jesus’ sacrifice was explained, as was my need for forgiveness. God in His grace worked in my heart that day and I believed. It has resulted in a journey of spiritual growth and a passion for God that I describe as the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me. I married Kathy within a year, and our family would grow to four children. We served in Brazil as church planting missionaries for 12 years and God has privileged me since 2005 by allowing me to serve as pastor of Lone Jack Baptist.
