Inside the door . . .
As you enter the doors of LJB, you’ll find that we are a friendly church that has a desire to see God work among us and through us. We strive to center our worship services around genuine worship and biblical teaching and preaching, believing truth is found in God’s Word. Our worship is a blended style with a mixture of contemporary worship songs and hymns, which are sometimes led by our Praise Team, at other times by capable lay leaders.
Our church family has a balanced makeup of younger families as well as those more seasoned in life. The many children that we enjoy allow us to have an energetic children’s ministry as well. Our youth leader, Kerrie Mann, encourages teens as they seek to know and grow in the Lord. Children’s SUPERChurch through senior adult home groups are offered through out the week.
We provide a caring nursery for those with babies up through age 4. Our children join their families to worship together. During the message, those from 5 on up through 6th grade are invited to attend SUPERChurch for an age appropriate lesson of their own. All of our nursery and SUPERChurch activities are staffed with two workers who have a caring, genuine interest in the spiritual well being of the children.
Our ushers are able to help those that are visiting find seating, if help is needed. They are also able to answer questions or point folks in the right direction. Flash drives with information about our church are also available through our ushers.
Join us and experience the goodness of God as we seek to lift Him up.
Our church family is constantly challenged to step into or continue ministering to others in the name of the Lord. “Everyone is a minster” is a phrase that former pastor, Roger Nelson, created. Peter reminded his readers in 1 Peter 4 that as each one has received a gift, they should use it in ministry to others.
